Aluminum forged parts that act as fixings for the footpegs but also carry other functions. The side plates go into the frame and into the top of the motor case. On the left side they have a bolt for the frame, an attachment to the swing arm axle with a pinch bolt holding it in place. The left plate also has the side stand and the bolted bracket. The right side plate is similar and connected to the motor by inner bolts. If the rider has a foot brake installed then the right side plate carries the appropriate bracket and components. The side plate is an ergonomic feature – riders will touch them frequently with their boots, so the surfaces are smooth. Forged and machined in Asia.
